Authorities stress the need for continued vigilance. Dr. Nilakantha Mishra, Director of Public Health, urged citizens to wear masks, follow hand hygiene protocols, and avoid crowded places to minimise transmission risks.

Key measures include ensuring adequate oxygen and ICU bed availability, conducting emergency mock drills, and ramping up Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infections (SARI) surveillance.

Health experts emphasize that early detection and timely intervention are crucial in preventing widespread outbreaks. While Odisha’s recovery rate remains stable, authorities continue to closely monitor the evolving situation.
