In a high-level meeting chaired by Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Commerce and Transport Department, the government unveiled several ambitious strategies under the Zero Accident Development (ZAD) program.

The Chintan Sibira event emerged as a crucial platform for experts, policymakers, and consultants to discuss innovative approaches to traffic safety.

Additionally, renowned IIT Madras professor Venkatesh Balasubramanian proposed structured training programs aimed at educating stakeholders, including master trainers, investigation officers, healthcare professionals, and teachers.

A dynamic dashboard is also in development to provide real-time monitoring of road safety trends, enabling authorities to make data-driven decisions.

Officials have outlined a comprehensive roadmap, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening transport regulations and accident prevention.

With these forward-thinking initiatives, Odisha is positioning itself as a national leader in road safety. The state’s multi-faceted approach integrates technology, expert collaboration, and public engagement to ensure safer travel for all citizens.
