In a significant milestone for Odisha, Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Prabha Pratida commended the media for its pivotal contribution to the success of the Subhadra Yojana.
Addressing a gathering during the “Media Interaction Program” in Bhubaneswar on April 25, 2025, she expressed gratitude to media representatives for their active participation in spreading awareness about the scheme.
The Subhadra Yojana, aimed at empowering women and children, has reached over one crore beneficiaries across the state. Recognising the importance of grassroots efforts, Smt. Parida appreciated the dedication of Anganwadi workers, Mo Seva Kendras, and Jan Seva Kendras in implementing the scheme effectively.
The program emphasised the essential role of media in creating public awareness about the scheme’s guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Additionally, the Deputy Chief Minister discussed avenues to further enrich the scheme through skill development training programs and invited thoughtful suggestions from the media representatives.
In attendance were prominent dignitaries, including Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Shri Suresh Pujari, senior journalists, editors, and media organisation representatives. The event also featured contributions from Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg, along with other key officials.
The Deputy Chief Minister pledged that the government would act on the recommendations provided by media representatives, ensuring the scheme’s continued progress and relevance. Odisha’s commitment to community-driven initiatives remains unwavering as the Subhadra Yojana continues to transform lives across the state.
