Officials from the Special Crime Unit (SCU) made a significant breakthrough today, seizing brown sugar valued at ₹50 lakh and arresting two individuals hailing from Balasore district.
The accused, Sahil Mohammad and Jahangir Mohammad, were caught while attempting to deliver a major consignment of the illegal substance.
Acting on reliable intelligence, the SCU monitored suspicious activities linked to narcotics supply within Bhubaneswar. Through careful surveillance and meticulous planning, the unit apprehended the suspects, disrupting key operations of criminal networks.
The operation is part of SCU’s ongoing special drive to dismantle drug trafficking in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
