Bhubaneswar (Orissa Today), Nov. 12: An unexpected incident occurred in the Tikirapada area of Koraput district. A relative guest, who had come to visit, was murdered by having his throat slit. Reports indicate that when Ram Krishani, a relative from Kadri village, arrived at the home of Sada Badanayak in Tikirapada, he was sitting outside the house with Putura Shuku and Sada Badanayak himself. Suddenly, Sada took out a knife and slit Ram Krishani’s throat. Before Putura could react, Sada also slit his throat.
While Ram Krishani died at the scene, Putura Shuku is in critical condition and has been admitted to the Nandapur Community Health Center. After attacking the two, Sada attempted to commit suicide. Local residents restrained him by tying him to a tree. Upon being informed, Nandapur police arrived and started investigating the incident.
The reason why Sada Badanayak attacked the two men is still unclear. It remains to be seen if Sada suffered from a mental disorder or if there was some past enmity. Police investigations are ongoing in multiple directions.
