Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: The Odisha government has announced that it will disburse funds in the third phase of the first installment under the Subhadra Yojana by the end of November. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed reporters on Saturday that the funds for this phase will be credited directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts by the end of the month.
Parida also confirmed plans for a fourth phase of disbursement, aiming to credit financial assistance to approximately 1.20 crore women beneficiaries by the end of December this year.
Addressing the inclusion of Anganwadi workers in the scheme, she stated that all previously excluded individuals would receive financial aid in the upcoming third phase.
During a high-level committee meeting held on Friday, it was revealed that around 2.67 lakh applications from women beneficiaries had been rejected for various reasons. The committee decided that a three-member panel, consisting of the Block Development Officer (BDO), tehsildar, and District Social Welfare Officers (DSWs), will re-evaluate the details of all rejected applicants, ensuring that eligible individuals receive their funds after the review process.
