Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Jan 31: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for dense fog in 10 districts of Odisha, predicting low visibility during early morning hours on Saturday.
According to the IMD forecast, dense fog is likely to affect Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Ganjam. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is expected at a few places in these districts, along with Puri, Khurda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Nayagarh, and Koraput.
For February 2, dense fog is very likely at isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur. Meanwhile, shallow to moderate fog may occur in parts of Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Nayagarh.
Despite the fog warnings, Odisha is expected to experience a prolonged dry spell, with no significant rainfall activity predicted until February 7. The IMD has advised commuters to exercise caution due to possible reduced visibility in the affected areas.
