(OT Webdesk)In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police have arrested Jagabandhu Mallik, a notorious criminal from Nilagiri in Odisha’s Balasore district, for his involvement in a high-profile burglary at a builder’s residence in Delhi’s CR Park.
The heist, which amounted to Rs 80 lakh, was executed by Mallik and two accomplices.
Mallik, who returned to Odisha with Rs 20 lakh in stolen cash, was apprehended following coordinated efforts between Delhi and Odisha Police.
One of his associates, Ashutosh Mallik, was arrested at a railway station, while the third suspect remains at large, reportedly heading toward Bihar.
The arrest highlights the growing efficiency of inter-state police collaboration in tackling organised crime.
Authorities have recovered part of the stolen money and are intensifying efforts to apprehend the absconding gang member and recover the remaining amount.
