Bhubaneswar, July 26 (OT webdesk)— Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal has dismissed speculation surrounding a possible cabinet reshuffle, asserting that his recent visit to New Delhi was focused solely on organisational matters.
“There was no discussion on cabinet expansion in Delhi,” Samal told reporters, clarifying that meetings with central leaders were courtesy calls and unrelated to governance changes.
Samal emphasised that appointments to state boards and corporations will be made “at the appropriate time.” He also confirmed that a new BJP committee will be formed in Odisha, with a fresh leadership lineup expected soon.
Responding to the Congress party’s proposed no-confidence motion, Samal said, “The Opposition has every right to move such a motion. We are prepared to face it.”
Political analysts suggest that the internal restructuring may pave the way for future governance decisions once the party’s state leadership is streamlined.
