Koraput, (OT Webdesk) – A deadly car accident late Saturday night near HAL Guest House in Sunabeda has left four people dead and several others injured.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 11:30 PM when a motorbike veered between two oncoming cars, causing a violent collision.
One of the vehicles overturned while the other was completely mangled. Four passengers from one car were severely impacted—three succumbed to their injuries at Koraput hospital, and one remains in critical condition at a Visakhapatnam facility.
Among the victims was Asutosh Rana, a young professional from Pune.
The driver of the second car also died on the spot. Most of the deceased were residents of Ganjam Colony in Sunabeda, with one from Mathalput.
Local residents have voiced concerns about reckless driving and the urgent need for improved safety protocols on NH-26. Police investigations are ongoing to reconstruct the events leading to the crash.
