Odisha Govt Reshuffles Senior Officials Across Key Departments

Bhubaneswar(OT Webdesk): In a significant administrative move, the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA & PG) Department of Odisha issued fresh directives reassigning senior officers across multiple departments.

The reshuffle impacts critical portfolios including Public Grievance, Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology, and the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell. According to the notification signed by Special Secretary Ghasiram Murmu:

  • Nihar Ranjan Dash (OAS SS) has been appointed Secretary to the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central Division, Cuttack. He was previously Director of Public Grievance and Special Secretary in the GA & PG Department, along with Secretary of the CM Grievance Cell.
  • Biskeshan Dehury (OAS SS) moves from his role as General Manager at OSRTC, Bhubaneswar, to take charge as Controller, Legal Metrology-cum-Director, Consumer Affairs. He also assumes the role of Special Secretary to the Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare (FS & CW) Department.
  • Sukanta Kumar Behera (OAS SS), who served as Additional Director (Administration) in EIC (Public Health), Bhubaneswar, has now been entrusted with dual responsibility as Director, Public Grievance and Special Secretary to the GA & PG Department, as well as Secretary to the CM Grievance Cell. His previously announced posting to RDC (Central Division) via Notification No. 19131/SCS dated June 6, 2025, stands cancelled.

This reshuffle reflects the government’s continued efforts to streamline administrative oversight and enhance departmental synergy across key public service areas.
