Rahul Gandhi Labels Odisha Student’s Death ‘Organised Murder’, Slams BJP-Led System

July 15-(OT Webdesk): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has condemned the BJP-led administration in Odisha following the death of a young student who had spoken out against sexual exploitation. Calling the incident “an organised murder,” Gandhi claimed the girl was repeatedly harassed, threatened, and left unprotected by those responsible for ensuring her safety.

The victim, a student of FM College, reportedly took her own life through self-immolation, prompting widespread outrage. Gandhi accused the system of shielding the perpetrators and silencing the victim’s voice. “This is not a suicide,” he stated. “It’s a murder orchestrated by the BJP system. Our daughters are burning, breaking, and dying, while the Prime Minister remains silent.”

Drawing parallels with similar incidents in Manipur, Gandhi demanded accountability and justice, saying, “India doesn’t need your silence—it demands answers.”

The tragedy has ignited demands for action across Odisha, with calls for protests and systemic reform.
