New Delhi, June 24(OT webdesk): India has issued a strong rebuke to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its remarks made during the foreign ministers’ meet in Turkiye, calling them “unwarranted” and “factually incorrect.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) asserted that Jammu and Kashmir is an internal matter and not open to external commentary.
The OIC had expressed concerns over the alleged marginalisation of Indian Muslims and pressed for adherence to treaties like the Indus Waters Treaty.
India swiftly countered these claims, accusing the OIC of echoing Pakistan’s agenda.
The MEA emphasised that Pakistan has long used terrorism as state policy and dismissed accusations of “military aggression” in light of the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
Defending its retaliatory action, the MEA declared Operation Sindoor a precise and justified measure in self-defence against terror camps operating across the border.
It also criticised Pakistan’s credibility on minority rights and human rights, citing its own record of fostering extremism.
India concluded with a firm message to the OIC to avoid being used as a platform for narrow political propaganda, warning that doing so would undermine its global standing.
