Bhubaneswar, June 18 (OT Webdesk): The Odisha capital is abuzz with preparations as Prime Minister Narendra Modi gears up for a visit on June 20, marking the first anniversary of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s government.
A high-level meeting held at Lok Seva Bhawan, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, detailed a meticulously choreographed schedule focused on both administrative precision and cultural celebration.
The Prime Minister will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 3:40 PM via a special Indian Air Force flight from Kushinagar.
A vibrant roadshow will follow, beginning at 3:45 PM and culminating at Janata Maidan, where PM Modi will address the public and launch various welfare initiatives from 4:15 to 5:35 PM.
He is scheduled to depart Bhubaneswar at 5:50 PM.
Security arrangements are being led by DGP Y.B. Khurania and the Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police, ensuring comprehensive coverage from the airport to the event venue.
Additional plans involve fire and medical services, road repairs, sanitation, internet-enabled media setups, and the operation of a centralised control room for real-time coordination.
Odisha’s rich cultural identity will be prominently showcased with traditional performances at AG Square, Raj Bhavan, Kalinga Stadium, Jaydev Vihar, and Janata Maidan.
The state administration is anticipating a large public turnout and has emphasized hospitality and crowd management.
The visit is expected to reinforce public sentiment and underscore the state government’s milestones over the past year.
