Bhubaneswar, June 4, (OT Webdesk) – In a groundbreaking move towards industrial and infrastructural growth, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today inaugurated multiple high-value development projects in Dhenkanal, amounting to over ₹50,000 crore.
This significant investment spans industrial development, renewable energy expansion, employment generation, and sports infrastructure.
Among the major highlights is the ₹30,000 crore solar power project, positioning Dhenkanal as Odisha’s leading hub for renewable energy production. With this initiative, the district is expected to boost sustainable energy and contribute to India’s transition towards green power.
Additionally, the government laid foundation stones for four key industrial projects, estimated to generate 26,400 employment opportunities for Odisha’s youth. The expansion aims to foster skill development and provide substantial job openings.
Further strengthening sports infrastructure, the CM inaugurated the Baji Rout Sports Complex with an investment of ₹120 crore. The complex will feature modern amenities, including a football stadium, synthetic athletic track, hockey training center, indoor stadium, swimming pool, and a 100-bed hostel for athletes. The initiative highlights the government’s commitment to enhancing Odisha’s sports culture and nurturing young talent.
Speaking at the launch, CM Mohan Charan Majhi emphasized the transformative potential of these projects. “This industrial and energy revolution will propel Odisha’s economy forward while ensuring employment opportunities for youth. The government remains dedicated to making Odisha a prosperous state by 2036,” he stated.
With this massive investment, Odisha strengthens its position as an emerging industrial and solar power leader, setting the stage for long-term economic growth and sustainability.
