Bhadrak (Orissa Today): Chaos erupted at the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital after a tragic incident involving a patient, Minati Parida, who lost her life due to a lift malfunction.
Minati, a resident of Randia Narsinghpur, had been rushed to the hospital in critical condition. While being transferred to the medicine ward after initial treatment, the lift unexpectedly moved upwards, trapping and suffocating her.
The absence of hospital staff near the lift during the incident raised concerns about negligence and safety protocols. The commotion on the hospital premises intensified as an agitated crowd demanded answers.
Police arrived to pacify the situation and launched an investigation into the malfunction and potential lapses in responsibility.
