Puri Gears Up for Rath Yatra 2025: Preparations in Full Swing Puri, Odisha is abuzz with activity as preparations for the world-renowned Jagannath Rath Yatra take center stage. Scheduled for June 27, 2025, this annual Hindu festival attracts millions of devotees from across the globe.

A high-level meeting led by District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain outlined crucial measures for the event’s smooth execution, ranging from infrastructure upgrades to extensive security arrangements. The traditional chariot-making ceremony, Ratha Katha Anukula, has already begun, marking the spiritual and cultural significance of the festival.

Enhanced road repairs, parking facilities, fire safety measures, and AI-powered crowd management systems are key initiatives to ensure attendee safety and convenience. Furthermore, health and sanitation facilities, including medical aid stations and clean drinking water supply, aim to enhance the experience of all visitors.

The Rath Yatra will feature three grand chariots, carrying Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, as they travel from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple.
