Nitin Gadkari’s Odisha Visit Brings ₹5,000 Crore Infrastructure Boost

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, is scheduled to visit Odisha on April 17, 2025, to spearhead significant infrastructure developments. The visit will include delivering the prestigious Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab Memorial Lecture at Ravenshaw University in Cuttack.

During his trip, Gadkari will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects worth approximately ₹5,000 crore, encompassing 16 major initiatives by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). These projects aim to enhance Odisha’s connectivity and promote economic growth by modernizing its transportation sector.

Officials have hinted at a potential policy announcement focused on road infrastructure, underscoring the government’s commitment to driving development and connectivity in the region. Gadkari’s visit marks another milestone in the journey of transforming Odisha into a hub of modern infrastructure.
