IMD predicts heavy rainfall in Odisha on July 14-15

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), July 13: Odisha is bracing for heavy rainfall as forecasted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday. The weather agency predicts very heavy rainfall in the state on July 14-15.
On July 13, IMD anticipates heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in isolated places across Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Balasore, and Bhadrak districts.
In Bhubaneswar and Puri, partly cloudy skies are expected with chances of moderate rain or thundershowers. The intensity of rainfall is projected to increase over the following two days.
On July 14, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Malkangiri districts may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas, while Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj districts might see heavy rain at isolated places.
July 15 could see heavy to very heavy rainfall persisting in Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, and Rayagada districts, with additional heavy rain likely in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, and Kendrapada districts.
On July 16, IMD forecasts heavy rain at isolated places in Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Nabarangpur districts, with the possibility of continued heavy rainfall in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Kandhamal over the subsequent 24 hours.
