Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), July 10: A tragic incident occurred late Tuesday near Mandosil village under Paikamal police limits in Bargarh district, where a hotel owner was discovered dead with his throat slit.
The deceased, identified as Pinku Sahu (37), resided in Mandosil village and operated a hotel near Nuapada tehsil office.
According to reports, Pinku was allegedly chased and attacked with sharp weapons by several individuals following a heated argument last night. Despite being rushed to Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital by family members, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. His body exhibited injuries to the head and neck.
Police have indicated that the body will undergo postmortem before being released to his family. Authorities suspect the motive behind the gruesome murder may stem from past disputes related to ganja smuggling.
