Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 25: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik voiced confidence on Saturday, affirming the Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) capability to secure a stable government once again in the state.
The 77-year-old leader of BJD walked from his residence, Naveen Niwas, to the polling station at the Aerodrome Colony UP School in Bhubaneswar to cast his vote.
Speaking to the media post-voting, CM Patnaik expressed his optimism, stating, “I anticipate the Biju Janata Dal’s triumph in both the Assembly and parliamentary elections. With the support of the people and the blessings of Lord Jagannath, we will establish a resilient government in the state once more.”
He urged all voters, particularly the youth, to participate in the electoral process and exercise their voting rights.
Polling is currently ongoing across 10,551 polling booths in six Lok Sabha constituencies—Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Puri, and Bhubaneswar—along with 42 assembly segments within these constituencies for the third phase of elections in Odisha.
A total of 64 candidates are competing for the six Lok Sabha seats, while 383 candidates are vying for positions in the 42 assembly segments.
