Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 25: In a spirited condemnation of the Odisha’s BJD government regarding the Puri Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar issue, Union Minister and BJP stalwart Smriti Irani intensified her critique on Saturday. She vowed that the BJP would not tolerate any concealment of the investigation report concerning the missing key.
Addressing a public gathering at Kujang near Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district, Irani asserted, “The BJP will ensure transparency prevails in Odisha. When the lotus blooms here, the report on the missing key from Puri Jagannath Temple’s Ratna Bhandar will be revealed, and those accountable will face consequences under Narendra Modi’s leadership.”
Irani targeted BJD leader V K Pandian, likening him to a contractor, and criticized his attribution of credit to the BJD for the Modi government’s provision of free rice and rations to around 3.2 crore Odisha residents.
Accusing Pandian of orchestrating a “remote-controlled” administration, Irani chastised him for failing to disclose the findings of the inquiry commission regarding the missing Ratna Bhandar keys.
She reassured the people of Odisha of Modi’s commitments and urged them to support the BJP for continued benefits, such as free ration and financial assistance through schemes like Kisan Samaan Nidhi, by voting for the lotus symbol.
