Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today), May 23: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the BJD government in Odisha, alleging corruption and a bureaucratic regime that sidelines elected representatives. Adityanath advocated for a BJP-led government in Odisha, asserting that it would facilitate decisive action against the land, sand, forest, and cattle mafia through a “double-engine” approach.
Speaking at a public gathering in Banapur under the Chilika Assembly seat and Puri Lok Sabha constituency, Adityanath accused the BJD of imposing an “officer raj” on the state, fostering corruption, and curbing the rights of the people. He emphasized the importance of elected representatives in governance and criticized the excessive power wielded by bureaucrats.
Adityanath highlighted the need for a shift in governance dynamics, stressing that Odisha requires a BJP-led government to implement initiatives akin to those undertaken in Uttar Pradesh. He criticized the Naveen Patnaik-led government for allegedly neglecting central schemes like Ayushman Bharat and for usurping the Central government’s free ration program.
The BJP stalwart urged the people of Odisha to support BJP candidates in the ongoing elections, citing the significant development witnessed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past decade.
