Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) May 17 : Sri Ashwin Vaishnaw, the Hon’ble Railway Minister, visited Athagarh and Badamba during his election campaign today. The visit was marked by an impressive bike rally, public meeting and a series of heartwarming interactions with local people.
A spectacular bike rally in Athagarh, initially featuring 5,000 enthusiastic riders. The excitement and support for Sri Vaishnaw were palpable as the rally proceeded, attracting an additional 5,000 participants along the way.
During a rally at Narsingpur, Sri Vaishnaw, accompanied by Sri Sambit Tripathy local MLA candidate, faced an unexpected obstruction. Demonstrating his unwavering resolve and connection with the people, Sri Vaishnaw dismounted and continued the procession on foot, boldly proclaiming, “Modi ki Sena darte nahi, rukte nahi” (“Modi’s army neither fears nor stops”). His direct engagement and convincing dialogue with the protesters not only diffused the situation but also converted dissent into support, as the protesters joined the rally.
Families from the area flocked to the event, many bringing their children to seek blessings from Sri Vaishnaw, hoping to inspire the next generation to become upstanding citizens like him.
In his address, Sri Vaishnaw informed about railway connectivity to the region by Modi government with the sanction of the Final Location Survey for a new railway line between Nayagarh and Angul, passing through Narsingpur, Kantilo, and Khandapada. This development is poised to bring significant economic and infrastructural benefits to the region, enhancing connectivity and fostering growth.
